Team Lead
Help Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members achieve the highest award in Scouting. This is a mentoring and coordination role — guiding young people through the requirements and celebrating their achievement when they get there.
What you’ll do
- Support Explorer Scouts and Network members in working towards their King’s Scout Award
- Provide guidance on requirements and help young people plan their journey to the award
- Coordinate with Explorer Scout and Network leaders to identify young people eligible or interested
- Celebrate completions and support the recognition of award holders
- Grow the team as demand increases, bringing in other volunteers to support delivery
What you’ll need
- Experience of achieving or supporting the King’s Scout Award (or the previous Queen’s Scout Award) is strongly desirable
- Good knowledge of the award requirements
This is a lead role to start with. The team will grow as activity increases.
