6th Prestatyn offers Scouting for young people from age 4 to 14 across four active sections. We are a community-rooted group with a brilliant programme and a team of passionate volunteers. Whether you have been involved in Scouting before or are brand new, we would love to have you.

Sections at this group

• Squirrels  (ages 4 to 6)
• Beavers  (ages 6 to 8)
• Cubs  (ages 8 to 10½)
• Scouts  (ages 10½ to 14)

What we are looking for

• Volunteers of any background — no Scout experience needed
• People who can commit to regular sessions, or who want to help occasionally
• Anyone with a skill to share — outdoors, creative, sport, admin, or anything in between
• Positive, enthusiastic people who want to make a difference for young people in Prestatyn

Flexible volunteering

We know life is busy. You do not have to be there every week to make a real difference. You can join as a full Section Team Member, volunteer as someone who needs a disclosure check for regular helping, or simply come along as a helper when you can. We will talk through what works for you.

What happens when you get in touch

• We will have an informal chat to find out about you and what you are looking for
• We will invite you to come along to a session and see what it is like
• If you decide to go ahead, we will support you through the joining process step by step
• You will never be thrown in at the deep end — there is always support around you
