1st Rhyl has a long and proud history of delivering Scouting in the heart of Rhyl. We run four sections from Squirrels through to Scouts and are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Flexible involvement is very much welcome.

Sections at this group

• Squirrels  (ages 4 to 6)
• Beavers  (ages 6 to 8)
• Cubs  (ages 8 to 10½)
• Scouts  (ages 10½ to 14)

What we are looking for

• Volunteers of any background — no Scout experience needed
• People who can commit to regular sessions, or who want to help occasionally
• Anyone with a skill to share — outdoors, creative, sport, admin, or anything in between
• Positive, enthusiastic people who want to make a difference for young people in Rhyl

Flexible volunteering

We know life is busy. You do not have to be there every week to make a real difference. You can join as a full Section Team Member, volunteer as someone who needs a disclosure check for regular helping, or simply come along as a helper when you can. We will talk through what works for you.

What happens when you get in touch

• We will have an informal chat to find out about you and what you are looking for
• We will invite you to come along to a session and see what it is like
• If you decide to go ahead, we will support you through the joining process step by step
• You will never be thrown in at the deep end — there is always support around you
