Sections: Cubs Scouts
1st Denbigh runs Cubs and Scouts for young people aged 8 to 14 in Denbigh and the surrounding area. We are a dedicated team working hard to give young people a fantastic Scouting experience. We would love more volunteers to help us grow what we offer.
Sections at this group
- Cubs (ages 8 to 10½)
- Scouts (ages 10½ to 14)
What we are looking for
- Volunteers of any background — no Scout experience needed
- People who can commit to regular sessions, or who want to help occasionally
- Anyone with a skill to share — outdoors, creative, sport, admin, or anything in between
- Positive, enthusiastic people who want to make a difference for young people in Denbigh
Flexible volunteering
We know life is busy. You do not have to be there every week to make a real difference. You can join as a full Section Team Member, volunteer as someone who needs a disclosure check for regular helping, or simply come along as a helper when you can. We will talk through what works for you.
What happens when you get in touch
- We will have an informal chat to find out about you and what you are looking for
- We will invite you to come along to a session and see what it is like
- If you decide to go ahead, we will support you through the joining process step by step
- You will never be thrown in at the deep end — there is always support around you
