The Programme Team supports the delivery of fun, safe, and high quality Scouting programmes across Vale of Clwyd Scouts.
The team works alongside Sections, Groups, and District teams to help ensure young people experience engaging, well planned activities that reflect the Scout programme, support skills for life, and remain youth shaped. Their focus is on supporting leaders to deliver great programmes, not on telling Sections what to do.
By sharing ideas, resources, and support, the Programme Team helps strengthen Scouting across the district and ensures young people continue to enjoy a varied and exciting programme.
What the Programme Team does
The Programme Team supports leaders and Sections by:
- Supporting Sections to deliver high quality, engaging programmes
- Sharing programme ideas, activities, and best practice
- Supporting District and cross District events and activities
- Encouraging youth shaped planning and review within Sections
- Supporting leaders to adapt the programme to meet the needs of their young people
- Promoting adventurous activities and skills development
- Working with other District teams to ensure programmes are inclusive and accessible
Their role is to support and enable, helping leaders feel confident and inspired in delivering the Scout programme.
How they can support you
The Programme Team can support you if you:
- Want fresh programme ideas or inspiration
- Are planning a District or multi section activity or event
- Would like support with youth shaped planning or programme review
- Need help adapting activities to meet different needs or abilities
- Want to introduce new skills, activities, or adventurous opportunities
- Are looking to share or learn from good practice across the District
They are always keen to hear what is working well and where additional support or ideas could be helpful.
